Privacy Policy for Meridian
Last Updated: July 2, 2026
NGNN Studio ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and protected when you use the Meridian: Posture & Health macOS application ("the App").
Our core philosophy is simple: Your health data and daily habits belong to you. Meridian is designed to function primarily offline, storing your data locally on your device.
1. Data We Do Not Collect
- No Personal Health Data: We do not collect, transmit, or store any information regarding your posture, hydration habits, stretch intervals, or custom reminders on our servers.
- AirPods & Motion Data: Any head motion data gathered from connected headphones (like AirPods) for posture detection is processed securely and entirely in real-time on your device. We do not transmit, record, or store this sensor data anywhere.
- No User Accounts or Tracking: You do not need to create an account to use Meridian. We do not track your activity across other apps or websites, and we do not build profiles based on your usage.
- No Sale of Data: We never sell, rent, or trade any of your data to third parties.
2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
All of your preferences, reminder schedules, and app settings are stored locally on your Mac using standard macOS storage (UserDefaults and local files). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly back it up via iCloud or Time Machine.
3. Data We Collect (and Why)
To ensure the App runs smoothly and to provide customer support, we collect very limited, non-identifiable data:
A. Diagnostic and Crash Data
If the App encounters an error or crashes, we automatically collect anonymous diagnostic data.
- What is collected: Stack traces, device model (e.g., Mac mini, MacBook Pro), macOS version, and the time of the error.
- Why we collect it: Strictly to identify, debug, and fix software bugs.
- Third-Party Providers: We use Sentry and Supabase to securely receive and process these crash reports. This data is entirely anonymous and cannot be linked to your identity.
B. Voluntary Feedback and Support Requests
If you choose to use the "Send Feedback" or "Report a Problem" features inside the App:
- What is collected: Any text you enter into the feedback form, your email address (if you choose to provide it), and basic OS-level diagnostic logs.
- Why we collect it: To read your feedback, investigate your reported problem, and reply to you.
- Third-Party Providers: We use Web3Forms and Supabase to securely route and store these messages.
C. In-App Purchases
If you choose to upgrade to Meridian Zenith, the transaction is processed entirely and securely by Apple (via StoreKit).
- We do not process, store, or have access to your credit card, billing address, or Apple ID.
- We only receive an anonymous receipt token from Apple to verify that you have unlocked the premium features.
4. Your Rights
Because your usage data is stored entirely on your device, you have complete control over it. You can delete all your Meridian data at any time by uninstalling the app and clearing its local storage.
If you have previously submitted your email address to us via a support request and wish for us to delete that correspondence, please contact us at the email below.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as we add new features (such as an iOS companion app or iCloud sync). We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
